Let’s summarize my first post.
Paul, or Saul of Tarsus, is the author of half of the New Testament (13 of 27 books) that both Catholics and Protestants follow. Paul never met Jesus during Jesus life on earth, and was in fact a persecutor of the early followers of Jesus. None-the-less, Paul claims to have a vision where Jesus spoke to him, but Paul’s recollection of these supposed visions also contain contradictions. Furthermore, Jesus’ apostles were opponents of Paul by Paul’s own writing.
Despite his background, whatever that may have been, his message to people was contradictory to Jesus’ teachings in every main perspective: obeying the law of Moses, worshipping the Father alone, forgiveness, and redemption through faith and works.
So this is the real question that Christians have to ask themselves.
Who the heck is Paul of Tarsus, anyway?
Especially, when you have the words of Jesus right there in the four Gospels themselves (which are the books in the New Testament that describe the life of Jesus).
Jesus’s message was clear.
Worship one God, follow the other laws of Moses, forgiveness comes through repentance, and that we need both faith and works for redemption.
Kind Regards
